| 6) And if a Levite comes from any of your gates, out of all Israel, where he sojourns, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which the Lord shall choose, |
ו וְכִי־יָבוֹא הַלֵּוִי מֵאַחַד שְׁעָרֶיךָ מִכָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר־הוּא גָר שָׁם וּבָא בְּכָל־אַוַּת נַפְשׁוֹ אֶל־הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה׃ |
| 7) Then he shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his fellow Levites do, who stand there before the Lord. |
ז וְשֵׁרֵת בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה אֱלֹהָיו כְּכָל־אֶחָיו הַלְוִיִּם הָעֹמְדִים שָׁם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה׃ |
| 8) They shall eat equal portions, besides what comes of the sale of his patrimony. |
ח חֵלֶק כְּחֵלֶק יֹאכֵלוּ לְבַד מִמְכָּרָיו עַל־הָאָבוֹת׃ |
| 9) When you come into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. |
ט כִּי־אַתָּה בָא אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ לֹא־תִלְמַד לַעֲשׂוֹת כְּתוֹעֲבֹת הַגּוֹיִם הָהֵם׃ |
| 10) There shall not be found among you one who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who practices divination, a soothsayer, an enchanter, or a sorcerer, |
י לֹא־יִמָּצֵא בְךָ מַעֲבִיר בְּנוֹ־וּבִתּוֹ בָּאֵשׁ קֹסֵם קְסָמִים מְעוֹנֵן וּמְנַחֵשׁ וּמְכַשֵּׁף׃ |
| 11) Or a charmer, or one who consults a ghost or a familiar spirit, or one who inquires of the dead. |
י״א וְחֹבֵר חָבֶר וְשֹׁאֵל אוֹב וְיִדְּעֹנִי וְדֹרֵשׁ אֶל־הַמֵּתִים׃ |
| 12) For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord; and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. |
י״ב כִּי תוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה כָּל־עֹשֵׂה אֵלֶּה וּבִגְלַל הַתּוֹעֵבֹת הָאֵלֶּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מוֹרִישׁ אוֹתָם מִפָּנֶיךָ׃ |
| 13) You shall be wholehearted with the Lord your God. |
י״ג תָּמִים תִּהְיֶה עִם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ׃ |
